I was the unofficial puzzle editor at Wired magazine, which entailed shepherding puzzle text and illlustrations through our process for the monthly Decode items, and finding puzzle opportunities in special packages. I was also editor of the Wired Decode puzzle blog, working with Mike Selinker and the team at Lone Shark Games, as well as crossword champion Tyler Hinman, Alternate Reality Game expert Michael Andersen, "Dr. Sudoku" , LEGO sculptor and puzzle designer Eric Harshbarger. Most of these great items are no longer accessible online, and the answer keys seem to be gone. Here are a few of my favorite items from the monthly magazine series. |
